A glimpse into my design process
Of course, there are a million different moving parts in a design process, but this is just a quick explanation of my usual process.
When I start a project, I try to understand the goals of the client. Based on the creative brief, I research more about the client, the product, and its competitors. Once I have a better understanding of the problem, I come up with strategies to solve this problem. I then start working in my sketchbook. I jot down initial ideas, brainstorm and start sketching. I think about the strategies and what kind of designs the client wants, and needs. I then pick which concepts are strongest and start to execute them on the computer. Meanwhile, I research and gather inspiration, creating mood boards and possible color combinations. I look at possible typefaces and begin to experiment with which colors, typefaces, designs, etc. work best together. Finally, once the final design is chosen, I make lots of variations to figure out which one is the strongest, both in strategy and design.
